Russ Aimz is finding more than enough inspiration to stoke his songwriting fires. His split styles of raw wild inspirational rock on singles like 'You're A Star' . To the more cruisey mesmerizing rock/pop earthy ballads on his debut album "Cruze". The album incidentally, also combines a fun ‘head straight for the sky’ playful and upbeat rock and pop vibe.
Russ started out performing solo for a short stint in 2000. Then soon after quickly formed a duo with a drummer, then finally to a 3 piece band called 'Gingalopi'. Although never recording an album with the band, they recorded a 4 track demo and performed around Melbourne for around two years before breaking up.
In more recent years, Russ has put together and released his solo debut album, with warm reviews from music critics from a few different countries around the world. Even getting to do a cover song of one of his favorite artist's Fleetwood Mac, has been a highlight of releasing an indie album.
Songs for the second album are already in the works. You can expect to hear more of the raw, wild and sexy rock side roaming loose on this one.
